Enable Holiday Alerts
Select Get Holiday Alerts or the floating bell, choose your state, select the holiday types and reminder schedule, then select Enable alerts. Allow notifications when your browser asks.
Change Notification Settings
Open the floating bell from any page to change the selected state, holiday types, same-day alerts, advance reminders or monthly summary. The settings apply to the current browser and device.
Install on iPhone or iPad
On iOS or iPadOS 16.4 or later, open GovernmentCalendar.org in Safari, tap Share, choose Add to Home Screen, and open the installed web app. You can then enable holiday alerts from the app.
Import an ICS Calendar File
Download the ICS file from a state calendar page, open it with Apple Calendar, Outlook or another compatible desktop calendar, and follow that application’s import prompt. Google Calendar users can import the file from Google Calendar settings on desktop.
